At Animal Aid we pride ourselves on providing a comprehensive shelter service to the community. We don't think our job is over as soon as an animal has left our care. On the contrary, we are committed to facilitating their successful integration into the family unit and supporting them in good times and bad throughout their life. Equally we see our role as a preventative one. If a family are thinking of surrendering their companion, we can help them work through almost any issue, in the hope that the result will be one less face through our door. In order to take this two pronged approach we have developed a range of innovative programs that are designed to enhance existing relationships, modify problem behaviour and forge strong bonds between people and their pets. We understand that dogs that come from a shelter background can potentially present their new owners with teething problems. That's why our experienced staff can provide specialised training for puppies and dogs of all ages specifically aimed at dogs adopted from a shelter. Animal Aid is committed to bringing people and pets together and use only reward based motivational training methods and promote responsible pet ownership in the community. |
